| What If?

Do you remember the
Indiana Jones movie about the search for the so called "Holy Grail"?,
and remember when it was discovered and the bad guy had to chose which cup
was the right one, and he chose, and drank from it, the line I
like the most out of the whole movie come from the old Knight, after
the bad guy had drank of the cup and well you know, dried up and blew
away, he said "He choose poorly" and of course we are all
thinking, yeah that was a real bad choice.
What are the consequences of your
choices?
We could say that because we all saw
instantly the result of such a bad choice, and the consequences there
of. Now let me ask you something how would you have chosen, if you had
not see the out come? Sad to say, some of us would have chosen
poorly. What is even sadder is that you could be in the same
shape right now, how so? Well the Bible has set a choice before us all
and has in fact told us to choose, but the great thing is we have been
admonished to choose the right way and even been given the answer. Let
me show you:
Deuteronomy 30:19 I
call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set
before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose
life, that both thou and thy seed may live:
Now that
really makes things easy here are the two choices, Life or Death,
Blessing or Curse, and if you choose life not only will you live but
your seed (children) as well. Again, we can see instantly the
consequences of the choices we make.
What does
God mean when He says "choose life"
John 10:10 Says, The
thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am
come that they might have life, and that they might have it
more abundantly.
The
dictionary says the word abundant means Fully sufficient; plentiful,
to be fully supplied or filled, I like that the word of God is telling
us that we can, by making the right choice can secure a full, rich,
plentiful, fully supplied life not only for us but for our family as
well. Now that is good news, and that is just like my Father, if there
is one thing that God is, He is fully supplied, I mean have you read
what he uses to make streets out of in heaven?, when you get the time
read Revelation 21:21, God is a God of more then enough, He is The God
of to much, and He wants His kids to get all of it. If you decide not
to choose life, well you have Chose Poorly, to say the least.
He is
letting you know that all of heaven every thing He has, all the riches
of glory are for you, just for the asking. Now you may be saying "aw
that is just to easy, it can't be that way besides I have been told I
have to stop this or start doing that, and well I just don't see how I
can". Ok, then how about this, let God be true, but every man a
liar, and God said: That if
thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in
thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be
saved. And that is all
there is to it, then let God do the rest in you and for you.
Yeah, but
what if.....
I know
some of you are saying right now, but what if your wrong, (and of
course, you know I'm not,) and I decide not to do what you are saying,
well then you are choosing the
opposite for
you and your seed, so lets examine that for just a moment, what would
that entail? For life you would choose death, for health you choose
sickness, for prosperity you choose lack, for joy you choose
depression, for wisdom you chose to be unwise, for hope you choose
despair, in place of being fully supplied, you choose to always be
just barley making it, and not only are you choosing it for you but
for you children as well, and instead of choosing heaven you choose
hell.
But if
you choose Gods way, and let Jesus be your Lord, the word of God says
every good gift and perfect gift comes from above, and it is the
Fathers good pleasure to give it unto you, now on place of death you
have, not just life, but abundant life, in place of lack you have
every need met,
Philippians 4:19 But my God shall supply all your need according to
his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
he (Jesus) became poor so you could be rich,
2 Corinthians 8:9 For ye know the grace of
our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he
became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich.
In place of sickness you have health and healing,
1 Peter 2:24 Who his own self
bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to
sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.
and Matthew 8:17 That it might
be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, Himself
took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses.
If he Jesus took them, then we do not have to, because if we did
that would be a miscarriage of justice, and God is just all the time,
and in place of strife you would have peace, because he is the prince
of peace.
Why don't you
go ahead right now and choose right now to be one of the Kings kids?
To take that first step of the best of your life, do it for you and
for your seed, that you may live, and have that life more abundant
every day, and then for eternity God himself will say, along with all
of the host of heaven
